We are looking for a technically skilled and customer:focused Mobile Service Technician to support the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of specialist bio:decontamination and infection control equipment used within healthcare, pharmaceutical, laboratory, and cleanroom environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electro:mechanical engineer or field service technician looking to work with advanced medical and process:controlled equipment involving instrumentation, airflow systems, sensors, ultrasonic technology, and automated safety systems.
The role is field:based, covering South Wales and the South West of England, providing on:site technical support to customers across NHS, healthcare, life science, and regulated environments. Full training provided prior to starting the role,.
The Role
As a Mobile Service Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring equipment operates safely, reliably, and in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
You will carry out preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, calibration, servicing, and breakdown repairs on specialist decontamination systems utilising:
Ultrasonic vaporisation technology Hydrogen peroxide delivery systems Airflow and catalytic deactivation systems Embedded control electronics Process sensors and safety interlocks HMI/touchscreen control interfaces
You will also provide technical training to customers, support equipment installations, and maintain accurate service documentation and calibration records.
Key Responsibilities
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and servicing on electro:mechanical decontamination equipment
Diagnose and repair faults involving:
Pumps, motors, fans, valves, and relays Sensors and process:monitoring systems Ultrasonic atomisation systems Power supplies and control electronics HMI/touchscreen interfaces Safety interlocks and alarm systems Carry out electrical fault:finding using multimeters and diagnostic tools Inspect and calibrate humidity, airflow, and process sensors Conduct leak testing, tubing inspections, and airflow performance checks Support installation, commissioning, and validation activities Ensure compliance with preventative maintenance schedules and service level agreements (SLAs) Deliver operator training and refresher sessions for customers Maintain accurate service reports, calibration records, and maintenance logs Provide technical feedback on recurring faults and product performance trends Support equipment swap:outs and emergency breakdown response where required Ensure all work complies with company QHSES procedures and customer site requirements
Requirements
Technical Skills and Experience
Essential
Minimum 2 years experience in a field service, maintenance, or electro:mechanical engineering role Strong electro:mechanical fault:finding experience
Understanding of: Motors, pumps, fans, valves, relays, and sensors AC mains systems (Apply online only)V) Electrical testing and diagnostics Mechanical assemblies and moving systems Experience using multimeters and diagnostic equipment Ability to work independently and manage field:based responsibilities
Desirable Experience
