This is not your typical sales role. We're looking for someone who's genuinely passionate about food and has experience within the foodservice, hospitality, or wholesale sectors. Whether you've been front-of-house, in a food buying role, or behind the pass as a chef, we value your insight and industry knowledge. You'll stay close to the world you're passionate about, but in a new, rewarding capacity. Several members of our current sales team come from culinary backgrounds, so you'll be in great company.
Responsibilities
* Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers across the Manchester region
* Identify and approach potential new customers to increase market presence
* Build strong, trust-based relationships - becoming a true partner to your customers
* Coordinate customer orders with internal teams across production, warehouse, and distribution
* Act as the key point of contact for any queries, issues, or opportunities
* Keep customer records and activity logs updated in CRM/operating systems
* Work closely with purchasing and production to align supply with customer demand
* Support new product introductions and seasonal launches relevant to your customers
* Deliver against agreed sales and margin targets
* Offer value through product training, demos, or menu support where needed
* Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality regulations
Qualifications
* Strong food industry knowledge is essential
* Background in foodservice, hospitality, FMCG, or food wholesale ideal
* Experience managing customer relationships or a keen interest in transitioning into sales
* Comfortable working with internal teams (e.g. supply chain, customer service)
* Understanding of food safety or compliance is a bonus

Compensation & Benefits
* Salary: £30,000-£35,000 (depending on experience)
