Quantity Surveyor – New Build Affordable Housing

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join my key client, delivering high-quality new build affordable housing and apartment developments across the region.
This role offers the chance to be part of a well-established and respected organisation committed to building sustainable communities through the delivery of modern, energy-efficient homes and residential schemes.
About the Role
Working as part of a collaborative commercial team, you will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of projects from pre-construction through to completion.
Projects will include new build affordable houses, low- to mid-rise apartment blocks, and mixed-tenure residential developments.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage project costs, budgets, and financial reporting
* Prepare and review valuations, variations, and final accounts
* Procure and manage subcontractor packages
* Assist with tendering and cost planning activities
* Ensure projects are delivered within budget and maximise value
* Identify and manage commercial risks
* Liaise closely with site teams, clients, and stakeholders
Requirements
* Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction
* Experience working on residential or housing developments preferred
* Strong understanding of JCT contracts
* Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (desirable)
