Description Community Capacity Development Lead - Ref: EE11725 G10: £47,181 - £50,269 per annum (pay scales under review) This is a fixed term position for 2 years. The Community Capacity Development Lead in Libraries is a new role created as part of Walsall 'Reimagine Libraries' transformation model. You will be responsible for developing and embedding new partnerships between the Voluntary and Community Sector and Core Library Services and enhance this community offer to residents through all the libraries and relevant assets. The post holder will be responsible for developing a new strategic model of creating partnerships between the libraries and VCS to deliver a wider range of community-based services to our residents. They will lead a programme of activity on the Transformation Board, managing complex interdependencies and influencing senior executives identifying new funding and resources in line with the Council plan. Their role will be to develop innovative and fit for purpose solutions benefiting our residents utilising the libraries' assets to their full potential. They will work closely with the Core Library Services, VCS and Cohesion function and will strategically oversee project management of some specific areas such as modernisation of the Home and Mobile library delivery, volunteering, book exchanges and business insights.
