Corporate Lead - Programmes & Strategy

We're looking for an experienced and strategic leader to take on a pivotal role shaping and delivering high-impact programmes and organisational strategy. This senior leadership position is responsible for driving programme delivery, embedding best-practice project management, and leading transformation across a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
About the role
* Lead the development and implementation of a corporate programme and project management framework
* Provide strategic oversight and assurance across a portfolio of high-profile programmes and projects
* Drive organisational transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic objectives
* Lead on corporate risk management, ensuring robust governance and effective escalation processes
* Oversee the development and delivery of key strategies, including areas such as economic development and sustainability
* Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, providing expert advice and insight at leadership level
* Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team
* Ensure effective financial planning, budget management, and resource allocation across programmes
About you
* Significant experience in programme and portfolio management, including large-scale, complex initiatives
* Strong understanding of governance, risk management, and strategic planning
* Experience operating at senior leadership level, influencing and advising executive stakeholders
* Ability to lead organisational change and embed structured programme methodologies
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence at all levels
* Financial and commercial awareness, including budget and resource management
* A collaborative leadership style with a focus on developing teams and driving outcomes
* A recognised project or programme management qualification (e.g. MSP, PRINCE2, APM) or equivalent experience is desirable
