Print Shop Assistant

The Printers is looking for a proactive Print Shop Assistant to be the go-to person for clients and daily operations. You'll blend customer service, organisation, and commercial awareness to make sure everything runs smoothly.
The Printers is a family run modern print and branding business with a strong local reputation. We provide everything from business stationery and brochures through to branded workwear, merchandise, and custom retail items. Our focus is on quality, creativity, and service.
About the Role
As our Print Shop Assistant, you'll:
* Be the first point of contact for clients in-store, on the phone, and via email.
* Supporting the team in the day to day running of the shop. Including greeting all clients that walk into the shop and fulfilling their requirements.
* Prepare accurate quotes, process orders, and handle payments.
* Manage enquiries, correspondence, and client records.
* Support smooth daily operations, from unpacking deliveries to coordinating small jobs.
* Spot upsell opportunities and identify new business leads.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring repeat business and loyalty.
* Use a range of digital print equipment and scanners to complete projects.
What We're Looking For
* Organised, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities.
* Confident communicator with a friendly, professional approach.
* Comfortable using computers (email, quoting, spreadsheets, order systems).
* Customer-focused, with a natural ability to build rapport.
* Commercially minded, able to see opportunities for growth.
* Previous experience in retail, office admin, or client services is valued but not essential, we'll provide full training.
* Have basic design and creative ideas.
* You are a team player, who is keen on improving processes and focused on the success of the business.
