Spire Southampton Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an Junior Business Administratorto join our Business Office and Finance team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Job Purpose
To ensure all administrative processes within the hospital are maintained effectively through strict compliance to Spire procedures and to undertake basic financial processes in accordance with procedures as required.
Accountabilities & Activities
* To run off daily and monthly reports and action them accordingly to specified work instructions
* To ensure all billing is actioned promptly and accurately in line with Spire procedures identifying billing problems, placing billing holds, suspending and clearing as required. To follow up on billing queries liaising with Central Finance as required.
* Raising claims for exceptional reimbursement through the Commercial Team where patient treatment has deviated from pre-authorised codes and services
* To perform regular cashiering and banking duties, posting entries to the accounting systems according to work instructions, and reconciling all payments received locally at the hospital
* To co-ordinate the request for payment of standard invoices, consultant fees and patient refunds.
* To process and release Consultant payments through SAP/COBO
* To review and challenge insurance write-offs
* Daily maintenance of the departmental shared mailbox
* Patient charging for theatre and radiology procedures
* Any other duties as required.
Who we're looking for
* Has previously come from an Administrative role
* Excellent Customer Service skills
* IT Literate – Data Entry/ MS Office
* Ability to meet tight deadlines with a proactive approach to work.
* Numerate with a keen attention to detail
