The package for this full-time, permanent role includes:
* Salary: Competitive, £55,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)
* Holiday: 25 days plus Bank Holidays
* Employer Pension contributions of 3%
About The Role
As Chief Executive Officer, you will succeed the founder, who over the last 10 years has built Emmaus Suffolk into a respected organisation. You will develop the charity's strategy to deliver county-wide support, manage the team delivering services to those in need, and oversee social enterprises that fund and support the organisation. While financially sound, the successful candidate will focus on consolidating income, identifying new funding sources, and generating revenue streams.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
* Lead the development and delivery of strategic and operational plans, aligning mission, support services, and social enterprise performance.
* Provide inclusive leadership to staff and volunteers, fostering a positive culture and presence.
* Oversee governance, safeguarding, financial health, legal compliance, and risk management.
* Drive fundraising strategies, including grants, individual donations, and enterprise income.
* Represent the charity publicly, building relationships with funders, media, local authorities, and the sector.
About You
You will be a compassionate, hands-on leader with a strong understanding of organisational culture. Proven success in securing and growing grant funding, leadership experience in the charity or social enterprise sector, emotional intelligence, and relationship-building skills are essential. You should have financial literacy relevant to charity budgets and be knowledgeable about homelessness and social isolation issues. Leading with integrity and warmth, you will face challenges with resilience and creativity.
