Now is an exciting time to join the Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care Foundation Trust. The Trust is constantly developing and improving Urgent and Emergency Care Services to meet the needs of the people of Tameside and the surrounding area.
The Urgent and Emergency Care Division is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Ward Manager to lead patient safety, experience and quality within their area.

Main Duties of the Job
* Carry continuous responsibility and accountability for the management of the ward/department, making effective use of resources and ensuring the highest standards of patient care on a 24‑hour basis.
* Work closely and collaboratively with other Ward Managers/Team Leaders to support roles and promote the corporate needs of the Urgent and Emergency Care Division.
* Work closely with clinic team leaders and have a knowledge base in urgent care.
* Carry continuous responsibility for the management of the designated area/team, ensuring safe and effective discharges and the highest standards of patient care on a 24‑hour basis.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with current registration
* ENB 998/997/mentorship module or equivalent
* Diploma/Degree or working towards
* Immediate Life Support certificate
* Leadership / Management Course
Experience and Skills
* Proven clinical practice and professional development
* Proven experience of unit/line management and staff supervision
* Proven experience and involvement in change management
