Role Description
West Lancashire College is a medium-sized further education college based in Skelmersdale. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated person to provide support in maths and English GCSE and Functional Skills classes to learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The aim of the position is to enable our 16-18 and adult learners to make excellent progress in English and maths, maximize their achievement, and move positively forward with their lives, independence, and employment.
This post is 28 hours over 4/5 days and is fixed-term for 1 year. The post is term-time only, with a salary of £24,310 pro-rata (0.66).
The successful applicant will have a grade 4 or above in GCSE math and English (or equivalent) and qualifications/experience supporting learners in education, the healthcare sector, or other relevant fields.
