Job Summary:
Altus Group is hiring Graduate Surveyors across all our offices — Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Dartford, Heathrow, London, Reigate, and Bristol. Successful candidates will join teams with exceptional lease consultancy, investor services, and business rates surveyors. As a Graduate Surveyor, you will be actively involved in property inspections, research, and supporting senior surveyors. No prior commercial or valuations experience is necessary — just a passion for commercial real estate. We will provide mentorship and comprehensive training in property referencing, valuation, lease consultancy, and business rates legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspect and measure client properties
* Manage client cases
* Assist surveyors in evidence collation
* Prepare assessment reports, analyze, investigate, and gather evidence for business rates assessment appeals
* Formulate appeals
* Maintain company records and databases
* Communicate effectively with clients, both in writing and verbally
* Deliver excellent client service, ensuring positive relationships and addressing issues or queries
* Meet team KPIs and contribute to the overall success of the team and Altus
Key Qualifications:
* University degree — a Real Estate or property-related degree is beneficial
* Full driving license and access to a car (not essential if based in central London)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Team player
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
* High attention to detail
