Selling assistant to disabled woman

Job Summary
*Earnings: The listed wages is not reflective because the amount is too impossible to know at this stage because it is commission. I only listed £1 as the minimum in order to not make any promises but it would be much more than that.

The job is to take boxes of items from a disabled woman who needs to clear 4+ decades of items and sell them on her behalf. A lot of packaging would be provided. The pay is 10% of everything sold. That rate would have been higher but over 50% has already been promised to 2 different charities. There are a LOT of items ranging in value so there is still potential for significant earnings if suitable sale prices are reached. Appropriate expenses would be paid separately, not taken from that commission.

Responsibilities - There is flexibility in the following, see experience.

* Collect items to be sold and packaging for sending as appropriate. The amount collected each time is flexible to what the assistant can take. Items that dont sell would be returned to the sellers home.
* List all items on best site for the item (Marketplace/Vinted/eBay…) and at appropriate prices etc. This may include taking photos & writing descriptions...
* Manage relevant online selling accounts.
* Send sold items promptly enough to keep buyers happy.
* Keep suitable records of all financial aspects (fees, expenses, sale amounts (gross and earned).
* Honest()
* Flexibility to work with disabled woman who is also seriously ill so her ability to be involved at any level varies and can do so suddenly. The less that involves her the less this would be a problem.
* Not required but it would be of benefit to be able and willing to help with a garage sale and/or other means of selling items that are not sold online.

Experience

* This is flexible. The following is what will be needed but some can be learned after getting the job if required and other options may be possible for the right assistant(s) within the context of being ultimately able to do what is needed.
* Experience with online selling
* Experience relevant to keeping basic financial accounts
* Sufficient maths standard to allow for successful selling. For example, being able to know the minimum sale price that doesnt lose money once selling costs are removed.
* Very good general communication skills
* Excellent English
* Female applicants preferred due to some of the items being sold are specifically female related. However, this is not an absolute requirement.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: £1.00-£1,000.00 per year
