Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in care home or home care settings and possess the ability to communicate effectively in English. As a Home Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to care plans.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Help with household tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
* Follow established care plans to meet the individual needs of each client.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred., however, not essential as full training provided
* Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members.
* Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients when necessary.
* Proficiency in IT skills for documentation and reporting tasks.
* A caring attitude with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients.
