Job Summary
The Lunch Cover Practitioner plays a vital role in providing high-quality care and supervision for children during their lunch period. There is also the opportunity to do extra hours during staff holidays etc. This position is essential for ensuring a safe and engaging environment where children can enjoy their meals and participate in various activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with young children, fostering their development through positive interactions and structured play.
Duties
* Supervise children during lunch, ensuring their safety and well-being.
* Assist children with meal times, promoting healthy eating habits and good table manners.
* Engage children in fun and educational activities during lunch breaks, encouraging social interaction and teamwork.
* Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents to ensure a harmonious environment.
* Manage any behavioural issues with patience and understanding, applying appropriate strategies to maintain order.
* Support the overall nursery team by contributing to a positive atmosphere and assisting with daily routines as needed.
Skills
* Experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to drive initiatives that promote children's development through engaging activities.
* Proven experience managing groups of children effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: £12.95-£13.50 per hour
