The opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Fleet Compliance & Quality Officer to join our team supporting a busy and diverse emergency vehicle fleet. This role focuses on auditing, quality assurance, engineering investigation, and ensuring workshop operations meet all legal and safety requirements.
You will be instrumental in maintaining high standards, improving processes, and ensuring vehicles remain safe and reliable for operational use.
Key responsibilities

Conduct workshop and vehicle compliance checks
*
Review maintenance documentation and systems for accuracy and completeness
*
Investigate component and unit failures to identify root causes and preventative actions
*
Ensure safe working practices and correct use of PPE
*
Support staff in understanding and meeting compliance requirements
*
Maintain detailed inspection and audit records
*
Assist in preparing for regulatory and external assessments
*
Produce reports for senior management
About you
*
Background in automotive engineering, fleet maintenance, transport or HGV environments
*
Good working knowledge of vehicle legislation and workshop safety standards
*
Experience in inspections, auditing or quality control
*
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
*
Able to work independently across multiple sites
*
Full UK driving licence
Desirable
*
NEBOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification
*
Experience with failure analysis and technical reporting
*
Knowledge of recognised quality management systems
