Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at Heathrow IRC, a Immigration Removal Centre located in West Drayton. Heathrow IRC combines Colnbrook and Harmondsworth removals centres under one management structure, making it the largest immigration removal centre in Europe, with a capacity of 965 residents. We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician who can dispense and an ACT qualified, working alongside 8 other Pharmacy Technicians within the healthcare department.

This is a permanent full-time role.
Hours
* Monday - Sunday service
* 37.5 hours per week
* 8.30am - 4.30pm / 7am - 7.30pm
* Rota's are done 4 weeks in advance
Salary
This position is full time; you’ll receive an annual salary between £34,125 - £41,475 per annum depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Provide outstanding quality-based patient-centred care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
* Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, including timely administration of medicines and analysing cost-effective prescribing as defined through our Health in Justice medicines policy.
* Work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to make a real difference.

Qualifications & Experience
* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* ACT Qualified
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
