Your purpose will be:

To oversee the daily housekeeping operations on assigned floors, ensuring every guest space reflects the elegance, precision, and exceptional standards of Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere. The Floor Supervisor leads the housekeeping team with grace and attention to detail, ensuring immaculate presentation, seamless service delivery, and a consistently luxurious environment that enhances every guest’s stay.


Job Description
1. Supervise the housekeeping team on assigned floors, ensuring all rooms and public areas meet Fairmont’s luxury standards
2. Conduct detailed inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and service areas to ensure flawless cleanliness and presentation
3. Support the Housekeeping Manager in coordinating daily operations, priorities, and service expectations
4. Lead by example, maintaining a polished, professional presence throughout the hotel
5. Ensure timely completion of room assignments, managing productivity and service flow
6. Provide coaching, guidance, and on‑the‑job training to room attendants and housekeeping colleagues
7. Respond promptly to guest requests, ensuring personalised and anticipatory service
8. Coordinate with Front Office, Engineering, and Guest Relations to support smooth room readiness and guest satisfaction
9. Monitor stock levels, linen quality, and housekeeping supplies, ensuring efficient usage and replenishment
10. Support service recovery, addressing guest concerns with discretion and professionalism
11. Maintain accurate records of room status, maintenance issues, and housekeeping reports
12. Ensure compliance with Fairmont grooming, service, and cleanliness standards at all times
13. Uphold health, safety, and hygiene procedures, including COSHH and manual‑handling guidelines
14. Participate in daily briefings, sharing updates on occupancy, VIP arrivals, and operational priorities
15. Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
16. Promote a positive, collaborative, and guest‑focused team culture
17. Ensure lost‑and‑found procedures are followed accurately and securely
18. Support additional tasks as required by the Housekeeping leadership team

Qualifications
19. 1–2 years’ experience in housekeeping or a similar role within luxury hospitality
20. Previous supervisory or team‑leading experience desirable
21. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a polished, professional presence
22. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining luxury standards
23. Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning standards, and room presentation
24. Understanding of UK health & safety regulations, including COSHH
25. Strong organisational and time‑management skills
26. Ability to lead, motivate, and support a diverse team
27. Basic IT skills for housekeeping systems and reporting
28. A passion for luxury hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
