About the role
Bury Council are looking for an experienced Management Surveyor to lead on the property aspects of The Prestwich Village Regeneration Scheme is a mixed-use development that will replace the existing shopping centre with the creation of a new thriving focal point to help people and businesses grow in order to ensure a strong economic future for the town. The two-phase delivery plan will provide a mix of high-quality homes and family-friendly spaces, a new community hub and leisure facilities to promote health and wellbeing, new retail space to enable local businesses to grow, as well as a new market hall and travel hub. The travel hub is currently on site being constructed with completion expected Summer 2026 with the rest of the scheme to follow.
The scheme is being delivered by the Prestwich Regeneration LLP, a joint venture between Bury Council and Muse, a national place maker with 40 years of experience in creating mixed-use communities across the UK.
The post will support the remaining delivery of the scheme by supporting the project manager with the vacant possession strategy of the remaining tenants in the shopping centre, required decant strategies including the existing library, the development and delivery of the new lettings strategy for the new buildings including service charges, management agreement of the travel hub operator and other necessary survey needs, leasing arrangements etc.
* You will be part of a dynamic team who are responsible for all aspects of property management and development.
* You will be responsible for more junior surveyors and assist with training and development programmes
* Based in Bury Town Centre, with flexible working
Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
