Maintenance Engineer - Nights (Ashford, Kent)
Salary: 55,000 + Benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10pm - 6am (37.5 hours per week)
Sector: FMCG / High-Speed Packaging Manufacturing
We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a leading international manufacturer based near Ashford, Kent. This is a permanent nights role with excellent pay, great benefits, and genuine opportunities for career progression.
The successful Maintenance Engineer will join a supportive and friendly team where staff are treated well and given every chance to grow. The company is known for promoting from within and offering additional training and development to enhance your skills.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out planned preventive maintenance on production machinery
* Attending breakdowns in a fast-paced FMCG environment
* Mechanical and/or electrical fault finding and repair
* Using initiative to identify and solve engineering problems
* Ensuring work is completed safely and in line with site procedures
Qualifications
* Recognised Mechanical or Electrical qualification (Apprenticeship, City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in FMCG / high-speed packaging
* Hands-on mechanical and/or electrical skills maintaining production machinery
* Ability to work independently on nights and as part of a small, close-knit team
