1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Primary School – Romford
Location: Romford, Havering
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time / Long-term
Vision for Education are currently recruiting a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work in a friendly and inclusive primary school in Romford. This is a rewarding role supporting a pupil with additional needs on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access learning and thrive in the classroom.
The Role
1. Providing 1:1 support to a primary-aged pupil with additional learning or behavioural needs
2. Supporting the child academically, socially, and emotionally throughout the school day
3. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
4. Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
5. Assisting with classroom activities and adapting learning where needed
The Ideal Candidate
6. Experience working with children in a school or SEN setting (preferred)
7. A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
8. A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills
10. Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE, Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential
