<div><p>An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Dietetic Assistant Practitioner to join the Multidisciplinary Team at the new Learning Disability and Autism inpatient service for adults with a treatable mental health condition opening in Bristol, as part of Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health NHS Partnership Trust (AWP).</p><p>Right to Work in the UK: This position is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must already hold the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application, as the organisation is unable to support sponsorship for this post.</p><h3>Key Duties</h3><ul><li>Assist the qualified Dietitian in the delivery of the therapy service to a specified caseload of inpatients.</li><li>Work without direct supervision, undertaking talks that fall within the remit of the non‑complex patient. This can include initial assessments.</li><li>Routine first contact with the non‑complex patient.</li><li>Carry ones own caseload of non‑complex patients, devising and implementing treatment programmes with reference to a qualified Dietitian.</li><li>Assist the qualified Dietitian with the assessment of complex cases and ongoing management.</li><li>Provide nutrition‑focused group activities for inpatients.</li><li>Provide ongoing nutrition screening training for inpatient staff.</li><li>Provide administrative support for the Nutrition and Dietetic team.</li></ul><p>We strongly encourage applications from people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, those with disabilities and from the LGBTQ+ community to bring a unique blend of experiences, backgrounds, perspectives and knowledge.</p></div>
