Senior Justice Gateway Officer (Secondment/Fixed Term Contract)

Rank/Grade: TVP Broad Band 4I; salary: circa £46,075 per annum, plus benefits.
Responsibilities
This role is based in Criminal Justice Services Traffic and manages teams of Police Investigators (Enquiry Officers) and Decision Makers (Process Officers) reviewing collisions, driving allegations, officer‑issued tickets, and speeding offences with links to criminal activity. The teams are based in three locations: Milton Keynes, Banbury and HQ South. The role offers the opportunity to collaborate with internal and external partners and contribute to national initiatives in this arena. The position is varied, involving people management, case and process review, and the provision of specialist knowledge in traffic legislation.
Qualifications
Successful candidates must have proven management experience at a similar level, practical experience in problem solving, decision making, and managing work and resources. They must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, achieve results, and use strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation and influencing. Fast and accurate work under pressure, strong MS Office IT skills (Word and Excel), and education to A level standard, NVQ level 4 or equivalent in Law/Criminal Justice are required.
Secondment / Fixed Term Contract
Permanent staff applying for this role will be offered on a secondment basis, subject to written support from their Line Manager and Head of Department/Commander or Deputy. If secondment is not supported, the role may be offered on a fixed term contract, with implications such as possible loss of continuous service protections.
