Are you looking for a new role? We are looking for a part-time occupational therapy assistant to join a team of occupational therapists within the community Mental Health Rehabilitation Team. The core hours are 24 hrs per week, worked over 3 days a week; the service operates 7 days and daily hours can be flexed by agreement.

Responsibilities
Main duties of the job include:
* Assessing adults of working age with mental ill-health who live within their local community around their occupational needs.
* Designing and implementing person-centred interventions to support recovery and evaluating progress.
* Managing a diverse caseload and working closely with a multi-disciplinary team (Consultant OT, OT, RMNs, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Employment Specialists, Peer workers, and CBT specialists).
* Working with patients to develop independent living skills and progress toward individual recovery and vocational goals in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications
Essential
* Maths and English GCSE or equivalent attained at grade 4 or above.
* NVQ Level 3 or additional qualifications in relevant subjects such as Psychology, Therapy Assistant, Rehab assistant.
Experience
* Experience in health and/or social care settings, such as employment, work experience, volunteering or placement(s).
Knowledge
* Understanding of common mental, physical and behavioural health conditions.
* Understanding the importance of adhering to organisational policies, protocols, procedures and standard guidelines.
Skills
* Effective communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly in written and oral form.
* Able to work well within a team and other MDT members.
* Able to perform delegated tasks and adapt practice to situations.
* Good organisational, observational and planning skills.
