Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for a hands-on role in a growing business backed by a national group?
I am delighted to be working with this establishedpany to help them recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team near Richmond, North Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a business in transformation, with systems upgrades and process improvements underway.
Whilst access to your own transport is essential, there is a free on-site car park and easy access to the A1.
Your new role
Key Responsibilities:
1. Purchase Ledger Ownership – managing all suppliers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing invoices and payments
2. Payroll Processing: both weekly and monthly payroll for a total workforce of circa 150
3. Bank Reconciliations & Postings
4. Financial Transactions – including accounts payable, receivable, and expense claims
5. Cashflow Management
6. Reporting & Analysis – maintaining spreadsheets and assisting with VAT returns
7. System Support – working with current systems and being actively involved with planned future upgrade
8. Audit &pliance – supporting audits and statutory submissions
9. Team Collaboration – answering external calls and supporting wider finance and admin tasks
What you'll need to succeed
10. Strong purchase ledger / accounts payable experience, with full ownership of the ledgers
11. Experience of supplier statement reconciliations
12. End to end payroll processing
