Join us as a Quotations Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping project proposals and delivering comprehensive quote packages. Imagine collaborating closely with customers and internal cross-functional teams, taking ownership of opportunities from bid decision to quote submission. You will engage in consultations with engineering, operations, quality, and suppliers to review manufacturability, estimate costs, and define project scope. Your expertise will ensure that our customers receive clear and accurate information, setting the stage for successful project execution.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Support and interact with engineers, customers, and the sales team throughout the bid process.
2. Help customers understand minimum requirements defining the RfQ package and define project scope in consultation with customers and MSL.
3. Liaise with customers and technical experts to develop precise product definitions.
4. Take ownership of opportunities from bid decision to quote submission, ensuring a seamless process.
5. Identify subcontractor requirements and liaise with subcontractors during the quoting stage.
6. Provide ROM quotes and business case calculations to both internal and external sales teams.
7. Gather inputs from cross-functional teams to develop accurate costing and address technical challenges.
8. Complete formal quote documentation and deliver the quote package to the sales team.
9. Support the quote process, pipeline, and tools to enhance efficiency.
What You Bring
10. You have experience in engineering or sales within a production manufacturing business.
11. You are skilled in generating project proposals and costing.
12. You possess experience in a customer-facing role, ensuring effective communication and relationship building.
13. You are competent in MS Office, especially Excel, to manage data and analysis.
14. You are comfortable presenting technical solutions to customers alongside engineering specialists and negotiating project scope.
Desired:
15. The ability to understand engineering drawings and employ manufacturing methods.
16. You have basic experience in CAD packages, such as NX or similar.
17. You possess experience or knowledge of 3D printing technology.
18. Experience with additive manufacturing preparation suites (Magics or similar) would be beneficial.
19. You have project management experience to oversee project timelines and deliverables.
