Overview
University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire are recruiting a band 2 Cardiographer to work as part of the team across multiple sites including St Cross Hospital Rugby and the City of Coventry Diagnostic Centre.
Responsibilities
* Take a lead role in recording electrocardiograms (ECG) for outpatients and inpatients, attaching ambulatory monitors (ECG and BP) and performing associated organisational duties.
* Support Cardiac Physiologists, junior cardiographers and students in their day‑to‑day duties, such as preparing patients for tests within the department.
* Supervise and teach students and other staff members on relevant tests within the trust.
* Ensure the best possible patient care, handling patient queries in person and by phone, and demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Carry out additional duties associated with the role as required.
Qualifications
* Hold or be working towards the SCST Award in Electrocardiography, or the Certificate in Electrocardiography examination.
* Experience working within an NHS or healthcare environment is advantageous.
* Must provide an immunisation and vaccination report from a UK occupational health provider or GP at the time of application.
