Commissioning Engineer / Field Service Engineer
We are seeking a commissioning engineer / field service engineer with an electrical background to support clients in the Midlands area. The role is home based with travel to client sites.
The role is offered with a base salary of £40 - £60K+, depending on your level of experience. It also comes with additional payments worth approx. £20K
The successful candidate will ideally have previous practical experience of Wastewater / Water treatment, Aeration Control and Blower staging (pump staging), but this is not a deal breaker.
This is an electrical NOT mechanical role. You will ideally have PLC experience

Responsibilities
* Conduct on-site servicing, repairs, and maintenance of water treatment equipment (specifically blowers and pumps). Electrical
* Optimising control systems and automation systems (aeration)
* Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently to minimise downtime.
* Provide training and support to clients on the proper use of equipment.
* Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and parts used and prepare field service reports.
* Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
Experience
* Proven experience as a commissioning engineer, Field Service Technician or similar role.
* Strong electrical aptitude with the ability to work with various tools and equipment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) & VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) experience is highly desirable.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective customer interaction.
* A valid driving licence is essential for travel to client sites.
* A valid passport
Qualifications
* Ideally an apprenticeship in electrical maintenance or similar
* PLC experience (ideally)

£40 GPB per diem when travelling to a customer site
All travel expenses including car rental, hotel and flights (if abroad)
55p per mile using own car
