To be successful as a Security Consultant, you should:
* Have a technical understanding of computer networks, operating systems, databases, websites, and architectural principles.
* Possess strong written and verbal reasoning skills, comfortable with technical writing and review.
* Be a team player.
Valued Skills:
* Current security certification (CISSP preferred).
* Experience with PCI-DSS.
* Background in software development or business analysis, including OWASP awareness.
This role is based in Knutsford.
Purpose of the role:
To enable 'secure by design' by supporting change programs, designing and implementing secure systems across data security, risk management, asset security, security architecture (including cloud security), communications, networks, security operations, software development, security testing, and IAM.
Accountabilities include:
* Overseeing technology change governance.
* Conducting security risk assessments and threat modeling to identify vulnerabilities and implement controls.
* Promoting DevSecOps and engaging stakeholders early in security planning.
* Providing security reviews for third-party products and services.
* Transferring residual risks per enterprise risk management.
* Supporting incident response and sharing security insights.
* Developing security policies aligned with risk tolerance and regulations.
Assistant Vice President Expectations:
