A major infrastructure contractor is looking for a Senior Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to join their department and help support the function during a sustained period of crucial project activity, delivering major infrastructure on HS2. You will play a key role in working with the board and helping to manage the operational HSEQ team throughout their projects across an integral part of the largest infrastructure project in Europe. Reporting into the HSEQ Director, you will be: • Internally auditing experience (9001, 14001 and 18001) and preferably already have an internal auditor’s qualification • Leading and managing all aspects of Safety, Health & Wellbeing for the assigned Delivery Area • Identifying trends, anomalies and opportunities for improvement from key performance data and through regular engagement with local Delivery team • Deliveringthe Health, Safety & Wellbeing strategy across project delivery • Developing risk assessments and method statements and maintaining management system documentation You will also have: • A degree [or similar] level qualification in occupational safety and health • A Chartered Membership of IOSH or working towards • Strong communication and engagement skills • Strong knowledge and practical application of SH&W in Construction / Civil Engineering • Demonstrable experience of managing SH&W for subcontracted and self-delivered works • Experience on major construction projects is essential • A full driving license This is an excellent opportunity to join a company with a fantastic reputation delivering one of the most prestigious projects in UK history.
