Job Title: Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Neurological Rehabilitation Rotation

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified HCPC registered Occupational Therapist to join our neurological rehabilitation rotation at Band 6.
You will work as part of interdisciplinary teams at West Midlands Rehab Centre and Moseley Hall Hospital, providing quality Occupational Therapy services to clients with complex impairments, predominantly significant neurological disabilities. The post holder will manage a designated caseload, working collaboratively with other Occupational Therapists and the multidisciplinary team to meet client needs.
The delivery of rehabilitation programs and interventions may take place within hospital units, clients’ homes, or in the community, potentially involving travel and moving around the community independently.
Rotation Services Include:
1. West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre:
o Specialist Neuro-rehabilitation and complex disability
o Access to communication and technology (2-year post)
2. Moseley Hall Hospital and Outpatient Services:
o Inpatient Neurological Rehabilitation Unit
o Birmingham Neurological Rehabilitation Team
o Moor Green Outpatient Brain Injury Unit
Candidate Requirements:
* Relevant clinical experience in neurology and assessment of complex disability
* Flexibility to meet the demands of different services
* Good organisational skills, including workload prioritisation and time management
* Knowledge of current clinical practices and evidence-based interventions
* Effective communication skills with patients, carers, colleagues, and agencies
* Ability to produce relevant, concise, and accurate written communication
* Driving license and ability to travel to community patients and between service bases
