Title: Customer Marketing Manager Full-time 37.5 hpw (G7)
Location: Redhill, Surrey. Hybrid working, 2 days working from home per week
Summary: Develop & manage the delivery & execution of customer marketing plans across all Lactalis brands/channels & retail customers
Reporting Line: Head of Sales Strategy & Development
Direct Reports: Management of Customer Marketing Activation Intern
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Customer Shopper Activation
* Develop strategic customer specific shopper marketing plans by channel & customer that drive trial & repeat for our key brands
* Work closely with marketing & brand teams to align shopper activation with ATL campaigns and our category strategy
* Measure ongoing effectiveness of customer action. Capture and review execution & ROI on all shopper activity & make recommendations for improvement
* Drive the digital agenda through delivering a structured online activation plan, specific to each customer & aligned to our overall digital strategy & areas of focus
* Develop retailer specific marketing creative
* Monitor competitor shopper activation and create best practice for in store & online campaigns
* Develop positive working relationships with Retailer Buying & Category Planning teams
* Full management of retail shopper marketing agency relationships for each customer (Dunnhumby, Nectar 360 etc)
* Regularly share shopper activation updates & reports on all brands internally
* Ensure regular reports and ad-hoc reports on brands and competitor activity are produced as requested by management team
NPD
* Develop, plan & execute shopper marketing support plans for all NPD innovation
* Track launch of NPD innovation on an ongoing basis (ROS, store listing, promos, disbn. build)
* Review competitor market launches
* Collate ‘market landscape’ regularly & share findings internally
Retail Sales
* Deliver structured programme of retail callage & merchandising
* Management of retail activation agency
* Analyse and communicate results & recommendations for improvement
Trade PR & Comms
* Build structured trade communications & trade advertising programme
* Management & bi-weekly calls with trade PR agency
* Manage approval process for press releases
* Manage approval for feature copy
* Develop trade PR adverts for titles like The Grocer
Trade Marketing Administration
* Ensure the Trade Activation plan is accurately & regularly updated
* Ensure promotional grids for all key SKUs in key customers updated monthly
* Manage & track spend to budget for Trade Marketing, trade agency fees & retailer data
* Develop & share ongoing insights with commercial & marketing teams, sharing best practice
Essential Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
* Degree or equivalent
* Demonstrated experience in sales & marketing in food and retail FMCG
* Ability to analyse and evaluate data against key indicators, to monitor programs, projects and plans to set targets
* Strong presentation skills
* Creative flair, confidence and driven to succeed
* Proficiency using key Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Financial Awareness & understanding of budget management
* Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with people at different levels
Desirable Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
* French speaker (desirable but not essential)
