About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Blackley. This is a full-time position available for an immediate start, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across primary or secondary age groups, depending on experience.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people by supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and moderate learning difficulties.

* Support the implementation of EHCPs and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

* Adapt learning materials to meet the individual needs of pupils.

* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress and provide feedback.

* Promote positive behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation.

* Support pupils during lessons, transitions, breaktimes, and school activities.

* Assist with personal care where required.

* Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

* Experience working with children or young people with SEND in a school, care, or youth setting.

* A calm, patient, and resilient nature.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

* A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

* Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) - desirable but not essential.
