Location: Office-based, in Milton Keynes Contract: Full-time, Permanent Number of vacancies: 1 Salary : £30,000 - £35,000 Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Inventory Analyst to join our e-commerce operations team and provide critical analytical support to the Head of Inventory & Planning. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in inventory planning, demand forecasting, and Amazon marketplace operations. You will play a key role in ensuring optimal inventory levels, reducing stockouts and excess inventory, and supporting the growth of our Amazon business. Key Responsibilities Inventory Planning & Forecasting: Develop and maintain short- and long-term inventory forecasts across Amazon FBA, FBM, and other sales channels. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and commercial teams to incorporate promotions, seasonal peaks, and product launches into forecasts. Replenishment & Supply Management: Plan purchase orders and FBA inbound shipments to ensure optimal stock availability while minimising storage fees and excess inventory. Track supplier lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and shipping schedules to optimise replenishment efficiency. Monitor inventory health, sell-through rates, weeks of cover, stockout risk, and excess or aged stock. Inventory Analytics & Reporting: Prepare dashboards and reports for senior leadership to enable data-driven decisions. Collaboration with Stakeholders: Partner with the Head of Inventory & Planning, Finance, Operations, and Business teams to align inventory strategy with business goals. Support new product launches with initial order quantity recommendations, ramp-up plans, and post-launch stock tracking. Continuous Improvement: Identify root causes of stockouts, overstock, and forecast variance. Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities to increase forecasting accuracy and inventory efficiency. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or a related field. 5 years of inventory analysis, demand planning, or supply chain experience, preferably in ecommerce. Hands-on experience with Amazon FBA & FBM inventory management and associated tools. Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools is highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work with large datasets. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ERP or planning systems Experience supporting international or multi-channel ecommerce operations. Key Attributes Detail-oriented and highly organised.
