Chelmsford Theatre is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join our Theatre and Arts team on a 15‑month fixed‑term contract to cover maternity.
We’re looking for a confident team leader with a strong track record in arts marketing. The successful applicant will have experience delivering commercial objectives, using data to inform decisions, and driving results in a fast‑paced environment.
Role Overview
The Marketing Manager will promote more than 350 theatre shows each year across our thriving programme, leading key campaigns and projects that raise the profile of the venue, ensuring all activity reflects the theatre’s values: Popular, Playful and Progressive.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing budgets and creating marketing strategies.
* Booking advertising and setting and achieving growing sales targets.
* Overseeing artwork development for our annual pantomime and season brochures.
* Supporting website management and handling sales reporting.
* Driving bookings for our new studio space.
* Championing our community programme.
Qualifications & Aptitudes
A focused professional who enjoys collaboration and has a passion for theatre and the arts. Must be solution‑driven, confident working with ticketing systems, able to think on their feet while still making time to review and refine campaigns. Excellent communicator with a positive, approachable attitude and ability to foster an encouraging team environment.
Some evening and weekend work will be required for planned events.
