A welcoming and inclusive primary school in BS13, Bristol is looking to appoint an experienced and compassionate SEN Teacher for a full-time, long-term role from January. The Role
- Teach and support pupils with a range of special educational needs, focusing on both academic and emotional progress
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning profiles
- Work closely with TAs, therapists and the SENCO to ensure each child receives the right level of targeted support
- Create a calm, safe and structured classroom environment that promotes regulation and positive behaviour
- Contribute to wider school life and collaborate with a dedicated, friendly staff team
What Were Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven experience working with SEN pupils
- Strong behaviour management combined with a patient, nurturing approach
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet a wide range of needs
- Confident communicator, able to work effectively with staff, parents and external professionals
