Behaviour Support

Salary: £95 – £125 per day

GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support professional to work within a supportive school environment in Hartlepool. This Behaviour Support role is ideal for someone who is confident in building trust, promoting positive behaviour, and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning in a calm and encouraging way.
As a Behaviour Support practitioner, you will work closely with pupils who require additional guidance to manage their emotions and behaviour. The school is looking for a Behaviour Support professional who is patient, resilient, and able to create a safe and structured learning environment without the role feeling intimidating or overwhelming.
The Role Will Include:
* Delivering targeted Behaviour Support on a 1:1 and small group basis.
* Supporting pupils to develop emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
* Assisting pupils to remain engaged and motivated throughout the school day.
* Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams.
* Promoting a calm, inclusive, and consistent learning environment.
* Acting as a positive role model while providing high-quality Behaviour Support.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience in a Behaviour Support, SEN, SEMH, pastoral, or youth work role (desirable).
* Be calm, empathetic, and confident when managing behaviours that challenge.
* Have strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Be available to work Monday to Friday.
* Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
* Have a fully checkable work history.
This Behaviour Support role requires a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection. All successful applicants must satisfy safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
