Position: Accountant
We are seeking a qualified or part-qualified Accountant to join our Business Services Finance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence children’s services through expert financial support across Richmond, Kingston, and Windsor & Maidenhead.
Location: Hybrid – Home & Office (Twickenham/Kingston as needed)

About the Role
You will support management and financial accounting tasks, including budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting, and audit preparation. Key responsibilities include:
1. Leading financial support for internal services
2. Advising budget holders and delivering financial training
3. Assisting with IFRS-compliant accounts, statutory returns, and treasury support
4. Improving systems, controls, and processes
About You
* AAT qualified or part-qualified, working towards CCAB (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA) or CIMA
* Strong experience in financial/management accounting
* Confident with financial systems and working with non-finance colleagues
* Detail-oriented, proactive, collaborative team player
* Desirable: Experience in local government or children’s services finance
