2026 Manufacturing Apprentice – Level 3 Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician

The apprenticeship provides rotation through different placements so you can discover the areas you enjoy most. You will learn assembly techniques, wiring, soldering, ESD safety and other key manufacturing skills, using all relevant equipment and software.
Apprentice Programme
Delivered via a day‑release model over 3.5 years at Trafford College. Year 1 focuses on academic training; Year 2 combines college study with site work to achieve a BTEC/NVQ; Year 3 allows rotation through other departments before the end‑point assessment, culminating in a Level 3 Diploma and apprenticeship qualification.
Requirements
* 5 GCSEs grade 9‑4 (A‑C) including English, Maths and a Science subject
