Job Details
We are currently recruiting for an IT Support Engineer, to join us at our Plymouth Office or Winsford Office, who will provide 1st Line IT helpdesk support.
On a day-to-day basis, you'll be the first port of call for any IS requests. You'll be answering calls and queries from all employees, and resolving, or escalating when needed to. You'll be responsible for ensuring all our new employees are correctly set up across our systems, and ensuring they have the correct hardware to conduct their role.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has previous 1st line experience, perhaps in a busy helpdesk environment, who has the willingness to grow and develop within a global company. There will be opportunities to travel to other sites across Europe, and to further develop your technical skills.
Key responsibilities
What will this role involve?
* Provide 1st line and some 2nd Line internal helpdesk support to users across all sites.
* Respond to IT support queries in person, over the phone, email and video.
* Respond to enquirers from users and help resolve any hardware/software problems.
* Log all support issues on the helpdesk system.
* Carry out daily systems checks.
* Install PC updates and ensure standard builds are maintained.
* Work to company defined SLA's & KPI's.
* Travel to UK Head office and other AMS sites
What we're looking for?
* Minimum 5 GCSE Grades (C and above) or equivalent, including Maths and English.
* Flexible, pro-active approach with 'hands on' approach.
* Excellent communications skills.
* Basic understanding of PC hardware set-up.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows 10.
* Windows Servers & Active directory.
* Any exposure to Windows Server and Networking desirable.
