Refrigeration Fitter
Groomfield Recruitment are supporting a client in the search for an experienced Refrigeration Fitter to join their production team. This is a hands-on role involving the assembly, fitting, and testing of specialised cooling and air-treatment equipment. The position suits someone with strong mechanical fitting skills and a solid understanding of refrigeration systems.
Package:
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Production bonus
Overtime rates available
40 Hours per week
20 days holiday plus bank holiday, extra day per years of service
Key Responsibilities as a Refrigeration Fitter:
* Mechanical fitting and assembly of components.
* Pressure testing and charging of refrigeration units.
* Electrical wiring of control panels (training provided where required).
* Cladding, finishing, and preparation of completed units.
* Functional testing of finished equipment to ensure performance and safety.
* Working from technical instructions and within planned build times.
* Ensuring high self-inspection standards and maintaining product quality.
Skills & Experience Required as a Refrigeration Fitter:
1. Good knowledge of refrigeration and cooling systems (single and dual stage).
