This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced specialist nurse to extend their skill set and train to become an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Working on the Gastroenterology wards, you will gain new skills, work closely with Consultants, and complete the Nurse Prescribing course.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the admission process for patients attending day cases.
2. Meet objectives set out by the Gastroenterology Care Group.
3. Conduct audit and research activities.
4. Ensure effective use of physical and financial resources.
5. Provide specialist assessment of patients' needs, and plan, implement, and evaluate care delivery using advanced knowledge and clinical skills.
6. Communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Additional responsibilities include improving patient care experiences and outcomes, providing social, emotional, and psychological support throughout treatment, delivering evidence-based care, making referrals to specialists, and being aware of risk management issues.
