Job Description
3. Process and code invoices, expenses, and credit card claims.
4. Manage approval workflows and support payment runs.
5. Maintain supplier records and assist with treasury tasks.
6. Prepare accruals and support accurate financial record‑keeping.
7. Administer finance policies and manage the Accounts Payable mailbox.
8. Support payment automation and general system improvements.
9. Assist with year‑end, data submissions, insurance renewals, and delegated authority tasks.
10. Contribute to risk management as First Line of Defence.
11. Promote strong information security practices.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Finance Assistant will have:
12. Knowledge and Experience
13. Strong IT skills especially confident using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
14. Good communication and interpersonal skills
15. Relationship management skills
16. Discretion is required as this role will often deal with highly confidential information
17. Uses initiative to find solutions and approaches problems with curiosity and an open mind.
18. Effective time management skills; able to manage several tasks and conflicting priorities.
19. Good knowledge and experience of general insurance desirable but not essential
