About the role: As the Lecturer in Graphics and Illustration you will continually improve the learning experience and achievement of students through effective teaching. Responsibilities as our Lecturer in Graphics and Illustration will include: Teaching on courses as agreed with the Head of Curriculum - CTEC Level 2 Art and Design alongside life drawing and digital illustration enrichments, although courses may be subject to change within Art and Design. Provide pastoral support where required. Acting as Course Leader, when requested Preparing and marking student work, monitoring progress towards individual targets, keeping records and providing timely reports/reviews to students, parents, employers and College managers, as appropriate Working closely with other colleagues to respond to the needs of students Paying due attention to the principles of inclusive learning including: individual learning styles support for students with learning difficulties and disabilities extension resources/activities for students of higher ability; general resources, including the use of Information Learning Technology. Contributing to the design, delivery and future planning and development of the curriculum Contributing to the teaching/learning resource bank for the relevant subject/course Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of developments in the relevant subject/course Developing and maintaining effective external links related to the delivery of the subject/course and representing the College at relevant meetings. Organise and participate in relevant visits, field trips etc. Attend and contribute to relevant meetings, including Enrolment/Open Events and Parents' Evening, as appropriate. Advise and assist the Head of Department and other team members in all matters related to the delivery of subject specialisms. Participate, as a team member, in the development of teaching methods and strategies towards an ethos of continuous improvement. Contribute to the self-assessment process and take responsibility for relevant actions and targets in the development plan for the curriculum area. Participate in the College's Lesson Observation Scheme. Undertake professional development and training to contribute to individual and College development. Undertake such duties as may be reasonably requested from time to time.
