Learning Support Assistant (Level 2 or 3 BSL) – Wokingham
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant with British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 or 3 to join our dedicated team in Wokingham. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils who are deaf or hard of hearing to access learning and thrive in school.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality support to pupils with hearing impairments, enabling full access to the curriculum.
* Use BSL effectively to aid communication and learning.
* Assist teachers in adapting resources and delivering lessons that meet pupils’ individual needs.
* Promote inclusion, independence, and confidence in the classroom and wider school community.
* Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to ensure consistency of support.
Requirements:
* BSL qualification at Level 2 or 3 (essential).
* Previous experience supporting children in an educational setting (desirable).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.

Contract: Full-time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
