Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated Food Technician to support a secondary school in the Daventry area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in food preparation, classroom support, or school-based technical roles who is available to start straight away.
Role Responsibilities:
* Support the Food Technology department with preparation of ingredients, equipment, and resources
* Maintain hygiene and safety standards within the food prep areas
* Assist teaching staff during practical lessons
* Monitor and manage stock levels, ordering materials when required
* Ensure classrooms and workspaces are cleaned and reset after lessons
* Provide general technical support within the department
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Food Technician or within a school/food environment is desirable
* Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)
* Availability for an immediate start
