This is an exciting opportunity for a Cost Engineer to contribute to a nationally important project, working alongside experienced professionals and supporting key commercial and project controls activities that drive informed decision‑making. As part of a collaborative and high‑performing team, you will play a vital role in delivering accurate cost forecasting, reporting, and analysis across a major engineering programme.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce and maintain accurate cost and forecast data aligned to CBS/WBS structures.
* Maintain cost and forecast information within project systems such as EcoSys and SAP.
* Prepare and coordinate regular cost and forecasting reports.
* Analyse project performance and provide commentary on key cost drivers.
* Support trend and change management processes across the project.
* Generate performance indicators and identify risks and opportunities.
* Deliver clear cost insights to support business decision‑making.
* Provide analytical support to Senior Cost Engineers.
* Interpret technical, financial and performance data to support project priorities.
* Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across multiple teams and disciplines.
Qualifications & Requirements
* HND or equivalent qualification in Project Management, Project Controls, Engineering or a related discipline.
* Experience working within a project management environment.
* Previous experience within a project controls discipline.
* Understanding of project controls methodologies and techniques.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
* Experience producing cost and forecasting reports.
* Ability to interpret financial and technical information.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proficiency in cost management systems such as EcoSys, SAP or similar.
