Description & Requirements
The role is hybrid, based in Birmingham, requiring you to drive and have your own transport. We support adults, families, and individuals with physical or learning disabilities or visual impairments. Experience working with children/young people is ideal. The role involves working at least 2 evenings a week, with the latest delivery until approximately 19:30.

The Specialist Health & Wellbeing Coach provides tailored diet, nutrition, and behavior change advice to service users (adults, children, families) to manage weight and improve health and wellbeing. Responsibilities include delivering evidence-based services via one-to-one and group sessions, supporting behavior experiments, tracking, and resource utilization.
Key duties include:
* Supporting recruitment and assessment of participants
* Delivering lifestyle behavior change support and group weight management programs
* Using motivational interviewing and goal setting techniques
* Signposting to other services as needed
* Engaging with community outreach and stakeholder events
* Ensuring compliance with quality standards and data management
* Participating in audits, professional development, and performance reviews
Salary: Non-London £25,700 - £28,800
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
* AFN registered degree in Nutrition or HCPC registered degree in dietetics
* Experience in delivering group behavior change interventions
* Experience managing caseloads and data entry
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
* Experience working in health, community, or social care environments
Desirable
* Health coaching qualification or accredited program
* Experience with long-term health conditions and community settings
* Supporting individuals with additional needs
Core Competencies
* Understanding of social determinants of health and behavior change principles
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Effective caseload and data management skills
* Proficiency with digital technologies and MS Office
* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
