About your team: At British Gas, our mission is to sell and mend energy solutions. With over 200 years powering UK homes and businesses, we’re also making the UK greener and more energy-efficient, moving closer to Net Zero. We use innovative technology like thermostats, heat pumps, solar panels, and EV chargers to help customers reduce their carbon footprint.
About your role: We are seeking a Continuous Business Improvement Analyst to work closely with the Optimisation Planning, Short-Term Planning, Demand Management, and Customer Delivery teams. Your role involves creating performance narratives for the Customer Delivery function, identifying performance issues, performing root cause analyses, and supporting decision-making to enhance business performance through diagnostics and process improvements.
Location: You will need to work in our Stockport (SK1 2GT) or Leeds (LS11 5BD) offices approximately 1-2 days per week.
Your responsibilities include:
* Assessing performance against target metrics to support leadership insights and decision-making.
* Embedding core metrics and principles within teams.
* Collaborating with the Optimisation Planning team to implement insight tools and support their adoption.
* Establishing effective performance rhythms across Customer Delivery and related teams.
* Conducting deep diagnostics into performance issues, identifying root causes, and working with colleagues to implement solutions.
What we’re looking for:
* Experience in presenting data effectively up to executive level.
* Strong stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency in root cause analysis and complex problem-solving.
* Analytical thinking with a proactive approach to disruption.
* The ability to see the bigger picture while focusing on details.
* Strong skills in Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Databricks).
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Experience in building automated reports to support performance improvements.
* Initiative to identify and resolve issues proactively.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
