Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Approved Mental Health Professional to work in our Community Mental Health teams based in the Wirral. We provide an all‑age adult service.
Responsibilities
You will do care coordination duties and manage a capped caseload, taking into account participation on the AMHP rota. The service may develop an AMHP hub in the future. You will provide an important and valued professional function working with some of the most vulnerable people in our community. Your professional expertise and approach will ensure individual needs and aspirations are supported at all times; management of risk and safeguarding is of paramount importance. Qualifications
* Compliance with the Mental Health Act, Human Rights Act, Mental Capacity Act and associated Codes of Practice.
* Experience working with the service user group and ability to use social work methods to promote positive change, independence and wellbeing, while promoting choice and control for adults and carers.
* Working knowledge of relevant legislation including the Children Act 1989 and ability to apply legislation to practice.
* Good IT skills to support accurate and timely case recordings.
* Recognised Social Work Qualification, qualified as an AMHP and registered with Social Work England.
Additional Requirements
Travel is essential to this role; access to transport for work purposes is required. All new starters will commence in post on one fixed start date each month, in line with our Prepare to Care induction programme. The programme offers up to 3 weeks training to meet induction and initial training requirements.
