We're looking for a skilled and safety conscious Engine Dismantler to join our team. If you have a passion for automotive components, a keen eye for detail and hands on experience taking apart engines and transmission systems, this could be the perfect role for you. You'll play a vital part in our salvage operations, carefully extracting and cataloguing valuable components while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility. What You'll Be Doing Safely remove and disassemble engines, transmissions, differentials, axles, and driveline assemblies from salvage vehicles Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to extract components without causing damage Accurately document each component's details, including vehicle information, condition, and mileage Identify and sort salvageable parts for refurbishment or resale Organise and store dismantled components systematically for efficient retrieval Maintain accurate physical and digital inventory records Follow strict safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times Dispose of hazardous materials responsibly in line with environmental regulations Working on a 3-week rota, 1 week depollution, 2 weeks engine dismantling 42.5 hours per week (8am – 5pm Monday to Friday) What We're Looking For Mechanical qualifications (preferably to level 2 or 3 in vehicle mechanics or similar) and/or equivalent experience Solid experience disassembling, inspecting, and sorting powertrain components Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Problem-solving skills to tackle challenging dismantling scenarios Effective time management to meet daily targets Team player with excellent communication skills Flexibility to adapt to varying vehicle types and inventory demands Unwavering commitment to safety protocols and procedures Excellent organisational skills for inventory and workspace management Understanding of environmental regulations and eco-friendly practices High level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism Own tools essential Why Join Us?
